Wen County has distinct industries. There are more than 160 industrial enterprises which are above designated size, twenty categories and one thousand varieties of production. The processing industry of agricultural and sideline products, equipment manufacturing industry, shoes-making industry are three pillar industries, their production accounts for about 70% of total industrial output. Among them the processing industry of agricultural and sideline products is in the first batch of characteristic industrial cluster in Jiaozuo City, with the country's largest seasoning production base which produces 70% of the whole country's instant noodles' seasoning and 30% of the whole country's flavors and fragrances. . Equipment manufacturing industry has the largest automotive forging production base and shoes-making industry has the largest artificial leather production base in Henan Province.
In Wen County, Industrial enterprises have strong innovation capability. There are two Henan Engineering Technology Research Centers and fifteen Jiaozuo Engineering Technology Research Centers. They also have two National Famous trademarks, ten famous-brand products of Henan Province and sixteen Henan provincial eminent trademarks. Thirty-four enterprises have passed the quality management system certification.
The industrial clustering platform has a clear advantage. Industry clustering zone of Wen County, south to Lianhuo high-speed, west to JiaoTong high-speed, is one of the County industry gathering zones which is provincial major construction project, only 2.5 kilometers to the urban area. The total planning area is 15 square kilometers, the investment to infrastructure construction have accumulated to 16 billion yuan, formulated a "eight vertical and three horizontal" network. Transportation, gas, water supply, power grid, financial network and other infrastructure are readily available.
